ILS Dynamic Synthetic Gas Test Bench

ILS has delivered multiple generations of automotive catalyst and sensor testing units to various truck, automotive and catalyst companies. These are commonly referred to as dynamic synthetic gas testing units. These units reproducibly create gas atmospheres and reaction temperatures characteristically found in truck and automotive catalytic converters.

The dynamic testing unit was made to heat and cool particularly quickly with ramp rates on the order of 30°C/second. This is necessary to make possible the simulation of newer, more challenging driving cycle tests. Gas/Vapor compositions and flowrates can be varied analogously.

Time-resolved, on-line Analytics like FTIR, FID-HC Analysis, paramagnetic O2 detection and lamda sensors are seamlessly integrated. The units provide the combined process data and analysis data for the client. Monolith cores of various geometries can be tested in this highly flexible and powerful system.
